Frequently asked questions.
What is a Puzzle/Escape Room?
Escape Astoria is a 1-hour themed experience for groups of 2-12 in which you try to find the clues, crack codes, solve puzzles and “escape” the room!
Are Puzzle/Escape Rooms scary?
We theme our rooms to be fun, immersive, and challenging. Each room has detailed descriptions you can find here: Game Info. For safety and comfort, doors are NEVER locked, and guests are allowed to leave at any time.
Feel free to contact our team with additional concerns.
How long does the experience last?
We ask that your group arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time for paperwork and a brief orientation. The clock starts once you are in the room, and you have 60 minutes to complete the room.
What ages are allowed to participate?
We leave it to parents/adults to determine their comfort level with theming and difficulty when booking an experience. Our puzzles will be challenging to children 10 and under without adult assistance. All guests under the age of 18 will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Children 5 years of age and below are free, and do not get counted towards booking.
Please contact us with further questions.
Will we be with strangers in our escape room?
You can elect to book the entire room if you prefer not to share the experience with others outside of your group. There is a charge per person for private bookings.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Escape Astoria is Open to Walk-in customers, however online bookings have priority. To guarantee availability, Book Online. Book Now

Helpful Tips:
Be nosy!
Remember to look in, under, on top of around, and behind objects (within the rules).
Puzzles or keys may come out of sequence.
Don't try and guess puzzles; everything you need to solve them is in the room. Take another look around, be thorough, reread clues or riddles, and think about the story and your objective.
You have a certain number of free clues; use them if you get stuck!
Use the tools you are given!
